I started ethical fat fashion because I wanted to know the ethical fashion landscape better, to find more options for my body (and larger) and share these brands.

Over the last few months, I’ve seen many of the ethical size diverse brands I love start the process to close down including Sotela, Arq, The Sleep Shirt, Tuesday of California and Beaton Linen. Now the reasons behind each brand’s closure is varied, but even though I spend a lot of time harping on about how fat people have more choice than before, the truth is more complicated.
